About Me

Denver, Colorado
Its about time I update my blog. I'm the type of person who insists on havng a good time. Almost to a fault. I enjoy quiet time with my husband and would really like a dog but realize we dont have time to take care of one. We love adventures. I love the thought of being finshed with a great big hike or bike or run. That feeling of accomplishment - of seeing a new place or the view from the top of one of the highest mountains in the state. I hate the thought of that first step or peddle. I love my husband and our families. I am so blessed. I'm terrified of losing my parents someday. My circle of friends grows larger and stronger every day and I cant fathom how lucky I am in this life.

Running the Bolder Boulder

We did a 10K road race today in Boulder. It was amazing! I've always heard the hype but this was the first year we actually signed up. 50,000 people run the race and music, food, and drinks flood the streets as you run through the neighborhoods of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

The rest of the weekend was filled up with friends, bbq's, a day off (!!!!), and lots of doing nothing. It was great. Oh - and Wade got to go dirt biking in the mountains with a couple of new friends which he had a great time doing. Moving to Colorado together has meant that the two of us really stick together in most things we do: We meet friends together, we go out together, and really don't spend a lot of apart time when we are not working or in school. So it was really cute that he was really concerned I might not have anything to do on a Saturday if he went and spent a "day with the guys"... I'm really excited for him to have new friends that he can relate to and have a good time with.

And on a negative note, we caught our cat Ham peeing on the floor - right in the act. He doesn't spray like some male cats tend to do - nope he looked right at us and squatted and proceeded to pee all over the carpet. We have a history with this problem and have redone our floors to attempt to get him to stop. Aaaaaaarrrgh..... I'm not sure what to do - I feel bad for him but it's really difficult to live with. Plus, he's such a tempermental cat that I don't think we can expect someone to adopt him.

Anyway, besides the little mishap it was a great weekend and I'm looking ever forward to our mini vacation in a couple weeks!
